Building Stronger Stories Together Donation Form

Your gift strengthens lives and community, one learner at a time

Kathy and Drew M, two Friends of the Library members sharing crafts they've made

“In 2024, we set out to be more creative—and the library made it easy. We’ve since taken part in hundreds of programs across 16 Metro libraries, from painting and pastels to bread making, origami, wood carving, and more. Each experience has expanded our horizons, boosted our confidence, and helped us build new skills. We’ve connected with wonderful library staff, made friends, and grown closer as a couple—and our adult kids love seeing us so engaged! These programs have reignited our joy of learning, and we encourage everyone to sign up and go full speed ahead!”

Goal Meter:

Please help us reach our $30,000 goal to fund these four life-changing programs:

Excel Adult High School

This accredited online high school program gives adults a second chance to earn their diploma and ensures that money is never a barrier to graduation.

Bus Passes

For many neighbors, the hardest part of accessing education and resources is simply getting there. Your support provides bus passes that connect people to our 19 libraries and partner organizations across the county.

Winter Reading for Adults

By funding incentives for Winter Reading, you encourage adults to connect with others who love to read and rediscover the joy of books.

Author Events

These gatherings inspire, educate, and create spaces where readers of all backgrounds can engage in meaningful conversation.

“Thanks to caring friends like you, Metro Library’s programs create stronger stories for our community. More than 92,000 adults participated in 3,500+ programs last year—exploring new skills, sharing ideas, and building friendships. Your gift strengthens lives, sparks curiosity, and brings people together—one learner at a time.”
