FRIDAY, August 14 and Saturday, August 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Members of the Friends of the Library (lifetime and annual as of July 1, 2026) will be invited to shop on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Book Sale will be held in the Oklahoma Expo Building at the OKC Fairgrounds. This sale is free and open to the public. This will be a smaller, one-room sale that offers both general items and a small ‘Better Books’ section.
We plan to host our large sale February 27 and 28, 2027 with a membership event on February 26.
• Different Days – Same Location – One Room!
Our Summer Sale returns and finds its home in the Oklahoma Expo Building, just like our traditional February Sale. Summer Sale, however, features unique days and only one room of treasures.
Volunteers for this event will be invited to an exclusive haul-away of remaining items on Saturday, August 15. Due to inventory, we will not be hosting a volunteering pre-shop or a teacher and nonprofit event giveaway. We will offer those events in February 2027.
• Your Guide to the Book Sale with Tips and Tricks
Whether it’s your first Book Sale or your 30th Book Sale, we want to make it the best experience ever! That means making an online guide to help everyone navigate the Book Sale and outlining the best way to tackle the Book Sale as a Large Volume Buyer who purchases 100 items or more.
It is our goal that these expectations and guides will make the Book Sale an enjoyable experience for all who join us.
Please join the Friends of the Library by January 31.
After January 31, memberships will close. We don’t want you to miss out, so please click here or the button below to get your Membership for as low as $15.
What does this mean for my tickets to the Members Only Shopping Experience? Book Sale tickets are sent by mail after memberships close on January 31. If you do not receive your tickets, Members should check in at the Will Call table between noon and 5 p.m. on Friday, February 21. Tickets and memberships will not be available for purchase after January 31 to help maintain crowd control and customer service for all members.
