Want to leave a legacy of supporting your library and community for years to come? Consider planned giving which includes gifts you leave in your will or estate. Regardless of your age or stage in life, there are many ways you can include the Library Endowment Trust and the Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County in your plans. Planned giving donors have named the Library Endowment Trust as a beneficiary in their retirement plans, insurance plans, wills, and trusts.
Naming the Library Endowment Trust as a beneficiary is easy to do. Build your legacy with the library by contacting us* to discuss your planned giving goals or use the sample language provided below. Gifts of $10,000 or greater can be endowed within the Trust to create generations of support. Our gift policy provides additional information.
Sample planned giving language:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to the Library Endowment Trust of the Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County (Tax ID# 73-6227587), located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the sum of $______ (or state a percentage of your estate) to be used for the support of the Library Endowment Trust’s unrestricted charitable purpose (or insert name of fund and purpose).”
*The Library Endowment Trust and library staff cannot advise you on planned giving; we encourage you to consult with your attorney or tax advisor.
The Sort Site will not be accepting donations at this time and will reopen on Monday, July 1.
