About the Library Endowment Trust:

The Library Endowment Trust was established in 1986 by the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System as a way for people to give to the library and to designate funds to help meet future library needs such as renovation or construction.

Funds donated to the Library Endowment Trust help to grow the endowment. Historically, the Trust has made annual gifts to the Metropolitan Library System to help fund programming needs such as summer and after school reading programs, scholarships for library staff and funding for furniture, art and technology that improves the quality of our 19 library branches.

“Thanks to caring friends like you, Metro Library’s programs create stronger stories for our community. More than 92,000 adults participated in 3,500+ programs last year—exploring new skills, sharing ideas, and building friendships. Give today to strengthen lives, sparks curiosity, and brings people together—one learner at a time.”
