The Metropolitan Library System

The Friends of the Metropolitan Library System were founded in 1978. It is the mission of the Friends to raise funds and awareness for the Metropolitan Library System, support its mission, augment its ability to enhance services and programs, and to promote literacy within our community.

Established in 1986 by the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System, the Trust provides a way for people to donate to the library and to create funds that could help meet future library needs. It is the mission of the Trust to grow the endowment to enhance our libraries.

“Thanks to caring friends like you, Metro Library’s programs create stronger stories for our community. More than 92,000 adults participated in 3,500+ programs last year—exploring new skills, sharing ideas, and building friendships. Give today to strengthen lives, sparks curiosity, and brings people together—one learner at a time.”
