Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Caregiver Toolkit

Thank you for your interest in engaging children and families with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for Oklahoma County. If your school or business serves families who reside in Oklahoma County, we have unique resources to help you register families and children to participate in this program as well as educate them about the program.

Email

The easiest way to engage families is to send them an email link and request them to sign up on their own. This gets them into the system more quickly. Here is sample text and a link you can plug into your email communications to your families:

The Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County now offers Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for all children who live in Oklahoma County from birth to their 5th birthday. This book gifting program mails a personalized book monthly to the home of each registered child. After the first welcome book, all books are age appropriate to help young readers improve their early literacy skills. Books arrive 6-9 weeks from registration. There are no income requirements or cost to the family for participation.

To enroll or learn more, please visit their website, Supportmls.org/imagination-library. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to the Library’s staff and volunteers at dolly.books@metrolibrary.org or call 405-606-3708.
